Jamboree is more than a destination. It’s the adventure of lifetime. And there is simply nothing else like it on the planet.
What’s a Jamboree? It’s not camp. National Jamboree is 360-degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventure that takes you places you never thought you’d go and challenge you to try things you never thought you could.
It’s the beginning of your own heroes’ journey that will challenge you to go farther than you ever thought possible. You’ll reach deeper and lift yourself higher to become the best version of yourself.
Your Scout has the opportunity to attend Scouting’s largest activity—The National Scout Jamboree which will be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. We will be attending from July 19 – July 28, 2023.
The Sequoyah Council Jamboree contingent will depart from Johnson City and travel to the Jambo site in West Virginia to participate in Scouting’s version of “The Greatest Show on Earth”.
Contingent reservations are on a first-come basis to all who qualify. The Sequoyah Council is sending 4 patrols consisting of 4 adults and 8 youth. After our Patrols are filled, a stand-by list of alternates will be established.
Total cost for this experience is $1,950. Right now all you need to do to reserve your spot at Jamboree is a completed registration and a deposit. Payment plan options will be sent out in an email following registration.
The jamboree fee includes all transportation, tours, admission fees, meals, lodging patrol and troop equipment, insurance, and training camp before the jamboree. Your expenses will be personal equipment, uniforms, and spending money.
Jambo registration must be completed: jamboree.scouting.org.
If you sign up for the jamboree and cannot attend, you will receive a full refund from the Sequoyah Council as long as there is an alternate to take your place.
