Tell your Scouting Story using #WhyScoutWednesdays

#WhyScoutWednesdays Telling the Scouting story over social media is becoming more and more important to the Scouting movement.

Today’s prospective families want local personal stories about the impact that Scouting has on potential Scouts.

One way for you as a parent or leader to do this is by participating in #WhyScoutWednesdays. It takes all of us working together to tell the story of Scouting.

The beauty and power of social media is that our audience and impact can grow. It is important when we post about scouting not just to share what we are doing, but why we are doing it.

Thus #WhyScoutWednesdays was born. Take time every Wednesday to share your “why” on social media.

Below is an example post from one of our leaders. A couple small tweaks to this post can make an even larger impact. If you as a leader when you are posting items like the hashtags below, it would increase the reach of this post as well as make it easier for others to find out more about Scouting.

#WhyScoutWednesdays

If you don’t know anything about hashtags feel free to just copy and paste the # below in each out of your post about why Scouting and it will help tremendously. If you are using Instagram or Twitter add a few creative # of your own so more people will see your posts.
